The Books of Hope

A series of books changed a nations attitude toward charity.

Project Nanhi Kali’s aim is to educate 100,000 underprivileged Indian girls annually. This aim is heavily dependent on donations, which due to lack of transparency makes it hard for Project Nanhi Kali to survive.

We worked on finding a solution to grow their contribution and donations. We created a series of illustrated children’s story books based on the lives of the real beneficiaries of Project Nanhi Kali. This resulted with people empathising towards these real faces. Over 10,000 books were printed and distributed at schools and literary festivals in India. With a 128% increase in donations and a 37% increase in enrolments at
Nanhi Kali schools the project was titled a success.
